Thong tossing, mullets and a Halloween party with an Aussie twist. Coogee Bay Hotel’s Ockerfest is taking over The Garden Thursday to Sunday until 1 November 2026, with backyard games, barbecue bites, DJs and free entry.

What’s on in The Garden
- Backyard BBQ — Thursday–Sunday, 12–5pm: Snags and other barbecue favourites fresh off the grill.
- Show Us Ya Tinnies — Thursday–Sunday, 12–8pm: Aussie tinnies straight from the esky. Mini esky purchases include a free stubby holder while stocks last.
- Bundy Slushies — Thursday–Sunday: Spicy Pineapple Drop Bear, Frozen Mango Daiquiri and Campfire Bundy & Cola are on the Garden Bar menu, with free Bundy sunnies with a slushie purchase while stocks last.
- Aussie DJs — Friday–Sunday: DJs, live music and Aussie anthems for a long afternoon with mates.
- Backyard Games — Saturday–Sunday, 12–5pm: Classic games, friendly competition and prizes up for grabs.
Ocker-Ween and weekend prizes
Halloween gets an Aussie makeover on Saturday 31 October. Dress up for Ocker-Ween and enter for a chance to win a prize pack worth more than $250, including a VB cooler, a $100 Coogee Bay Hotel voucher and Bundy merchandise.
