The Double Bay Christmas Festival takes over Steyne Park on Saturday 28 November, with Christmas markets, food stalls, kids’ rides, live music and fireworks all packed into one very festive day.
And the concert lineup is not exactly small.
Conrad Sewell, Paulini, Shannon Noll, Hugh Sheridan, Harlan Goode and the All Star Carols Band.
Start with the markets
From 12pm to 6pm, Steyne Park becomes a Christmas market curated by Cambridge Markets.
Expect festive shopping, artisan stalls, unique gifts, international hot food, desserts and rides for the kids.
In other words, this is one of those events where you tell yourself you are just popping in for a look and somehow leave with Christmas presents, lunch and dessert.
Then stay for the music
Once the markets wrap at 6pm, the celebrations continue into the evening with the free concert.
There will be Christmas favourites, singalong hits and a very recognisable Australian lineup taking over Steyne Park.
Bring a picnic rug, find a spot on the grass and settle in for the night because the music keeps going right through until the fireworks.
Christmas markets, Shannon Noll, Paulini and fireworks in Double Bay, all for free. This one is worth putting in the calendar.
Finish with fireworks
The festival runs until 9pm, with the night finishing under a fireworks display over Double Bay.
So if you have family or friends who always ask what there is to do at Christmas, send them this.
Shop, eat, let the kids loose on the rides, stay for the music and finish the night with fireworks.
And yes, entry is completely free.
